Given,

Length of wire used to make a regular pentagon = 70 cm

To find,

Side of the regular pentagon

Solution,

Since, we have used the whole wire to make a regular pentagon, this means that

⇒ the length of the wire used = perimeter of the regular pentagon

Regular pentagon is a pentagon with all 5 equal sides.

Perimeter of the regular pentagon = 5 x (length of the side)

So now our perimeter = 70 cm

70 = 5 x (length of the side)

Therefore , length of the side = \frac{70}{5}  = 14

Hence, the side of the pentagon is 14 cm.
