i. How does the resistance of each part compare with the resistance of original wire?
ii. If the three parts are connected in parallel, how will the resistance of this combination compare with the resistance of original wire?

1.Resistance of each part is 1/3 times the resistance of original wire.

2.If 3 parts are connected in parallel then equivalent is R/9.
Now,New Resistance/Original Resistance =1/9
