As the wire is the same so the perimeter of the circle and the triangle will be similar.

It is given that the length of each side of the triangle is 8.8 cm

We know that,

The perimeter of an equilateral triangle = (3× length of the side)

                                                                  = (3×8.8)

                                                                  = 26.4 cm

∴ The perimeter or circumference of the circle is 26.4 cm.

Let, the radius of the circle be, 'r'

Circumference of the circle = 2πr

So, according to the problem_

2πr = 26.4

⇒ (22/7 )r = 26.4 / 2

⇒ r = (13.2×7)/22

⇒ r =1 .2×7/2

⇒r = 0.6×7

⇒ r = 4.2 cm

∴ The radius of the circle is 4.2 cm

So, the diameter of the circle is (4.2×2)

                                                   = 8.4 cm
