Answer:

each side = 6.6cm

no. of sides =3

therefore perimeter of triangle =6.6×3= 19.8 cm.

when the wire is bent to a circular ring, perimeter i.e., circumference of the circle will be still 19.8 cm.

Therefore,

2πr= 19.8

=>2r=19.8/π

since diameter os equal to twice the radius of the circle, we can say that diameter=19.6/π

=19.8×7/22

=6.3 cm

Hence the diameter of the circle is 6.3 cm.

Hope this answer helps you.

Answer :

›»› The diameter of the circular ring are 6.3 cm.

Given :

  • A piece of wire is bent in the shape of an equilateral triangle of each side 6.6cm. It is rebent to form a circular ring.

To Find :

  • The diameter of the ring = ?

Solution :

→ Perimeter of equilateral traingle = 3a

→ Perimeter of equilateral traingle = 3 * 6.6

→ Perimeter of equilateral traingle = 19.8

Now, it is rebent to form a circular ring.

So, the perimeter of equilateral traingle is equal to the circumference of circular ring.

→ Perimeter = Circumference of circular ring

→ 19.8 = 2πr

→ 19.8 = 2 * 22/7 * r

→ 19.8 = 44/7 * r

→ 19.8 = 6.28 * r

→ r = 19.8/6.28

r = 3.15 cm

Now,

→ Diameter = 2r

→ Diameter = 2 * 3.15

Diameter = 6.3 cm

Hence, the diameter of the circular ring are 6.3 cm.
