a piece of wire is in the form of rectangle whose length and breadth are 40 cm and 26 CM respectively if it is bent in the form of a circle find the diameter of the circle

hi Amman,

hint: perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of circle

2(l+b) = 2πr
2(40+26) = 2*22/7*r
132 = 22/7*2r
924 = 22 * d
d = 924 / 22
d = 42cm   is the required diameter.

Here,
perimeter of reactange = perimeter of circle

2(l+b) = 2πr
L+b= πr

40+26 = 22/7×r

66×7/22 = r

r = 21

Radius= 21cm

Diameter = 2×21
= 42cm
