Given : The radius of the first circle is ‘ r ‘ cm and increased by 1 cm successively

To find :  the length of the wire that is required to make 5 such circles.(take π= 22/7)

Solution:

radius of 1st circle = r   cm

radius of 2nd circle = r + 1  cm

radius of 3rd circle = r + 2  cm

radius of 4th  circle = r + 3  cm

radius of 5th circle = r + 4  cm

Perimeter of circle = 2π* Radius

Total wire required = 2π ( r + (r + 1) + (r + 2) + (r + 3) + (r + 4))

= 2π(5r + 10)

= 10π(r + 2)

= 10 (22/7)(r + 2)

= 220(r + 2)/7  cm

10π(r + 2)   cm or  220(r + 2)/7  cm is the length of the wire that is required to make 5 such circles
