A piece of wire of resistence 20 ohm is drawn so that its length is increased to twice its orginal length calculate the new resistence

We know that the resistance of the conductor R is directly proportional to the length of the conductor..

So if the length will be increased by twice then resistance will also become twice.

So,

R= 2×20= 40 ohm
