Answer:

Explanation:

mass=20

volume of water = 53-25=28

density=mass/ volume

=20/28

=5/7

=0.714

if ans is incorrect try converting mass into kilograms

Given data :

  • Mass of wood = 20 gram
  • Water level raised = 25 ml to 53 ml

Solution : Firstly we have to find out raised water level

Now,

⟹ water level = 53 ml - 25 ml

⟹ water level = 28 ml

Here we know that;

⟹ 1 ml = 1 cm³

Hence,

⟹ 28 ml = 28 cm³

When 20 grams of wood is completely immersed in water, the volume increases by 28 cm³

Now, by formula of density

⟹ Density = Mass/Volume

⟹ Density = 20/28

⟹ Density = 0.7142 g/cm³

Answer : The density of the wood is 0.7142 g/cm³
