Solution :-

Given ,

  • Mass of wood piece = 584.6g
  • Volume of wood piece = 96 cm³

We need to find ,

  • Density of wood

As we know that ,

♦ Density = Mass ÷ volume

Here , we need to find the density of wood piece so we need to substitute the given values of mass & volume of the wood piece .

⇒ Density of wood piece = 584.6 ÷ 96

Density of wood piece = 6.089 ≈ 6

Note :- This symbol “≈” indicates the approximate value of the number.

Hence , density of wood piece = 6.089 g/cm³ which is approximately equal to 6 g/cm³

Answer:

\huge{\fcolorbox{yellow} {black}{\color{yellow}{Answer}}}

GIVEN :

  • Mass of wooden piece = 584.6 gm
  • Volume of wooden piece = 96 cm²

TO FIND :

  • Density of the wood.

WE KNOW :

\implies density =  \frac{mass}{volume}

  • Now substituting the values.

\implies density =  \frac{584.6}{96}

\boxed{\implies density = 6.089}

Rounding off

Density of wood = 6.1 g/cm³

Density has SI Unit kg/m³ so

\implies density =   \frac{6.1 \times 100 \times 100 \times 100}{1000}

\boxed{\implies density = 6100 \:  \frac{kg}{ {m}^{3} } }

_______________

KNOWLEDGE EXPRESS :

Density is defined as the ratio of mass to volume .

SI Unit of volume is kg/m³ .

_______________

Hope it helps
