Specific gravity=(Weight of air/(weight of air - weight of water))

=3/(3-2.5)
=3/0.5

Specific Gravity is 6

  1. The formula for Specific Gravity is given by: density of object/density of water.
  2. Weight in air/Weight in (air-water)
  3. weight of object in air is 3 kg.
  4. weight of object in water is 2.5 kg.
  5. 3/(3-2.5)
  6. 3/0.5
  7. 6
