Let there be N coins in the piggy bank.
1 paise = 1/100 Rupee as 1 rupee = 100 paise
Value of Each coin = 20 paise = 20 * 1/100 Rupees = 1/5 Rupees
Total Value of N coins = N * 1 / 5 Rupees
This is equal to Rupees 60
So N / 5 = 60 So N = 5 * 60 = 300 coins
SO there are 300 coins in the pigggy bank.
You can do this directly as : (second method)
Number of coins = total value of all coins / value of each coin
= 60 Rupees / 20 paise = 60 * 100 paise / 20 paise
= 6000 / 20 = 300
1 paise = 1/100 Rupee as 1 rupee = 100 paise
Value of Each coin = 20 paise = 20 * 1/100 Rupees = 1/5 Rupees
Total Value of N coins = N * 1 / 5 Rupees
This is equal to Rupees 60
So N / 5 = 60 So N = 5 * 60 = 300 coins

X is coins in piggy bank.
1 paise = 1/100 Rupee
Value of Each coin = 20 paise = 20 * 1/100 Rupees = 1/5 Rupees
Then X coins will be = X * 1 / 5 Rupees
This is equal to Rupees 60
X / 5 = 60
X = 5 * 60 = 300 coins
1 paise = 1/100 Rupee
