☞ A piggy bank has one rupee and 50 paise coins.

\textbf{Let one rupee coins be x.}

☞ Also said that, If 50 paise coins are three times of one rupee coins.

\textbf{50 paise coins = 3 x one rupee coins}

=> 50 paise coins = 3x _______(eq 1)

• 50 paise = 1/2 Rupee

=> 50 paise = 3x/2

☞ The total money in this bank is 35.

Total money = 1 rupee coins + 50 paise coins

=> x + \dfrac{3x}{2} = 35

=> \dfrac{2x\:+\:3x}{2} = 35

=> 5x = 35 × 2

=> 5x = 70

=> x = 14

• Put in (eq 1)

50 paise coins = 3(14)

=> 42
