a piggy bank has only one rupees and fifty paise coins if there are three times as many fifty paise coins as one rupees coin and the total money in this bank is thirty five how many coin of each kind are there ?

Let the number of one rupee coins = x

Then 50 Paise coins = 3x

let us assume that the number of coins of 1 rupee are x

therefore coins of 50 paisa are 3x

amount of 1 rupee coin = 1×x=100x paisa

amount of 50 paisa coins=50×3x=150 paisa

100x+150x=4500

250x=4500

x=18
