Given :

Length of pin=2cm

Focal length=f=6cm

Centre of pin is 11cm away from lens .

So object distance = 10cm

here size of object [AB]

size of image[A1'B']

From lens formula:

1/f=1/v-1/u

1/v= 1/f+1/u

=1/6-1/10

=10-6/60

=4/60

v= 60/4=15cm=OA'

Similarly for point B:

u=-12cm

v=?

f= 6cm

1/v=1/f+1/u

=1/6-1/12

= 2-1/12

=1/12

v=12cm=OB'

Image size= A'B'= OA'-OB'= 15-12=3cm
