A pine tree is broken at the height of 10m

and its distance between base and top of tree is 24m.

Applying pythagoras theorem:-

H²=P²+B²

AC²=BC²+AB²

AC²=10²+24²

AC²=100+576

AC²=676

AC=√676

AC=26m

So the height of broken part is 26 m

Original height of the tree = 10+26=36m
