Answer:

A leaked pipe fills less part of cistern in 1 hour as compared to good pipe.so, we can get time in which cistern will be emptied by leaked pipe by the reciprocal of their difference. Therefore, Time take by leaked pipe to empty the full cistern=90 hr.

A pipe can fill in 9hrs work done will be \tt\frac{1}{9}

Cistern fills up in 10hrs if there is a leak. So work will be done in \tt\frac{1}{10}

Time taken to empty the cistern

\pink\longrightarrow= \tt\frac{1}{9}-\tt\frac{1}{10}

\pink\longrightarrow=\tt\frac{10-9}{90}

\pink\longrightarrow=\tt\frac{1}{90}

It will be emptied in 90hrs.
