Given, A pipe can fill a tank in = 6 hours

Another pipe can empty in = 12 hours

____________________________________________________________

Part of tank filled together in 1 hour = 1/6 - 1/12

= (2-1) / 12

= 1/12

So part of tank filled in 1 hour together is 1/12.

Step-by-step explanation:
