Given :-

• The length of the pipe = 35cm

• It is divided in the ratio = 3 : 4

Solution :-

Here , We know that

Length of the pipe = 35 cm

The pipe is divided is the ratios

= 3 : 4

Let, The ratios be 3x and 4x

According to the question,

Length of pipe = 3x + 4x

35 = 3x + 4x

35 = 7x

x = 35/7

x = 5

Thus, The value of x is 5

Now,

The length of first part of the pipe

= 3 * 5 = 15 cm

The length of second part of the pipe

= 4 * 5 = 20 cm .
