The area of flow is approximately 209.5 cm².

Given data :

Inner diameter of the given pipe is 20 centimetres.

Depth of flow = 1/3 × diameter of the given pipe.

• Now,to calculate the area of flow,we have to calculate the inner radius of the given pipe

= Diameter / 2

= 20/2

= 10 cm

• Now,we have to calculate the height of the flow

= 20×1/3

= 20/3 cm

• At last we have to calculate the area of flow by using the following mathematical formula :

= π × (radius of the pipe) × flow height

= π × 10 × 20/3

= 22/7 × 10 × 20/3

= 209.5 cm² (answer) (approximate)
