Hi ,
Dimensions of the pit are ,
Length = l = 5 m
Width = w = 3.5 m
Let the depth of the pit = h m
Volume of the cubiod= volume of the
earth taken out
lwh = 14 m³
5 m × 3.5 m × h = 14 m³
h = ( 14 )/ ( 5 × 3.5 )
After cancellation,
h = 0.8 m
Therefore,
Depth of the pit = h = 0.8 m
I hope this helps you.
