A pit 5 M long and 3.5 M wide is dug to a certain that.if the volume of earth taken out of it is 14 M cube what is the depth of the pit

Given that :-

• Length = 5m

• Breadth = 3.5 m

• Volume = 14 m³


Solution :-


Length * breadth * height = Volume


=> 5 * 3.5 * depth = 14


=> depth = 14 / 3.5 * 5


=> depth = 14 * 10 / 35 * 5


=> depth = 2 * 2 / 5


=> depth = 4 / 5


=> depth = 0.8 m


So ,


depth = 80 cm
