A pit measuring 7 m × 5.5 m ×  10 m is dug in a field. Find the  volume of earth that was dug out.

{\large{\underbrace{\underline{\bf{Answer:-}}}}} \\

Given:-

Dimensions of the pit dug = 7 m × 5.5 m × 10 m

To find:-

Find the volume of earth that was dug out.

Formula used:-

Volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height

                                       = lbh

Solution:-

As the dimensions of the pit varies, we infer that the pit is dug in cuboidal shape.

Volume of the pit = lbh

                             = (7) (5.5) (10)

                             = 385 m³

∴ the volume of the earth that was dug out is 385 m³
