Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, popularly called Mahatama Gandhi or Father of the Nation believed in revolt without violence. He adopted the method of Satyagrah to make the nation's voice be heard. He did various Satyagrah's nation wide to make the problems of the various sectors visible to the government. The Champaran strike, salt march, various hunger strikes done by him enlightened the spirit of freedom in Indians.
