The angle made by the earth’s total magnetic field with the horizontal direction is known as angle of dip at given place.
The angle of D reduces from 90 degree to 0 degree as one goes from magnetic pole to the magnetic equator.
If Bv = Bh then tan delta = Bv/Bh = 1.
Hence the dip angle is 45 degree.
