Answer:  211.304 m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

let speed be x.

d x t = EB = 6x

in Δ DEC

tan 45 = DE/EC = 1 = 3000/ EC

EC = 3000

in Δ ABC

tan 60 = AB/BC = √3 = 3000/ BC

BC = 3000/ √3 = 1000√3 (rationalizing)

EB + BC = EC

6x + 1000√3 = 3000

6x = 3000 - 1000√3

6x = 1000√3 ( √3 - 1)

x = 1000√3( √3 - 1)/ 6

substituting √3 = 1.732

x = 211.304

therefore, the speed of the plane is 211.304 m/s.
