a plane is flying that at 14000 m above the sea level. a submarine at the same time is flosting m below the sea level.what is the distance between them​

defined as

iii ) | x | = - x , if x is negative.

Distance of the flight above the sea

level = 5000m

Distance of the submarine below the

Sea level = -1200m

Vertical distance between flight and

Submarine = | 5000 | + | - 1200 |

= 5000 + 1200

= 6200 m
