if x be the distance between the object and the mirror then the distance between the object and its image is 2x because in the plane mirror the distance between the object to the mirror and the image of the object to the mirror is equal .if the mirror is approaching the object at the rate of x/ t = 10 m/ s .then the mirror will approach the image at the speed of 2x/ t.
then 2x/ t = 2(10) { as x/t=10 }
then 2x/t= 20
thus the image will approach the object at the speed of 20 m/ s
