a plane mirror is placed 22.5cm infront of a concave mirror of focal length 10cm. when an object is placed in between the mirror at a certain distance from the plane mirror. what is the distance of the object from the plane mirror​

Now as image formed by a concave mirror coincides with the image will formed by the plane mirror , therefore the concave mirror ,

v=−[22⋅5+22⋅5−x]=−(45−x)u=−xTherefore,1v+1u=1f⇒1−(45−x)+1−x=−110⇒x2−45x+450=0⇒(x−30)(x−15)=0⇒x =30 cm or x=15 cmBut x=30 cm is not admissible as the distance between two mirrors is 22⋅5 cm .So the image is real , inverted and enlarged .Magnification =m=−[vu]=−[−30−15]=−2
