So here we will say that insect will start to see its image when he is at perpendicular position from the end of the mirror

so we will have

x = 6 m

now from this position till the end of the mirror the insect is able to see its image

Now we will have

d = 6 m = 600 cm

so the total time for which insect is able to see its image is given as

t = \frac{600}{2}
