Dear,

A plane mirror will form

  • virtual and erect images
  • height of object is always equal to the height of the image
  • the distance of object is always equal to the distance of image
  • it always forms laterally inverted images meaning left appears right and vise versa

so image formed by plane mirror is +1

here + denotes that the mirror forms virtual and erect images

and 1 denotes the magnification of the mirror

The image formed is virtual, erect and of the same size as that of the object.

Explanation:

  • The nature of the image formed by the plane mirror is always virtual, erect and of the same size as that of the object.
  • The image is formed at the same distance from the mirror on the opposite size of the object.
