Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

(2) 11,000 km

● Explaination -

# Given -

θ = 27 min = 27/60° = 27/60 × π/180 rad

x = 2.8x10^6 km = 2.8×10^9 m

# Solution -

As we know, angle of parallax is calculated by formula -

θ = d / x

27/60 × π/180 = d / 2.8×10^9

d = π/400 × 2.8×10^9

d = 22×10^6 m

d = 22000 km

Radius of the planet will be -

r = d/2

r = 22000/2

r = 11000 km

Therefore, Radius of the planet will be 11000 km.

Hope this helps you...
