a planet has the mass as that of earth but radius 1/2 of that Earth. if the value of acceleration due to gravity on the surface of earth.then what is the value of acceleration due to gravity on the surface of the planet

Acceleration Due to gravity

 \frac {/sqrt {GM}} {R^2}

For earth it is equl to 9.8 m/s^2

For given planet mass is same radius is 1/2

g =  \frac {√GM} {(R/2)^2}

g =  \frac {√4GM} {(R}

g = 2× g on earth

g = 2× 9.8

g = 19.6 m/s^2
