Answer: one example of this is cactus. it has its leaves modified into thorns to prevent transpiration which would have taken place in the leaves and has a thick fleshy stem that can carry the process of photosynthesis as it has chlorophyll in it. to even reduce the transpiration in its fleshy stem it has a waxy coating.
