If a plant has lost its capacity to sexually reproduction, there are some asexual ways through which a plant can maintain its growth and number.

Tissue cloning is one of them. It is a process of growing tissues to organs under septic conditions, similarly via vegetative propagation and grafting, plant can produce.

If a plant has lost the capacity to reproduce sexually then the listed methods can help to continue its progeny:

(i) Artificial Vegetative Propagation : In this method, a portion of plant functions as a propogate and develops into a new plant.

(ii) Cloning : This method is for cloning the tissues of the plants and forming a new plant.

(iii) Layering: In this method, the branch of the main plants is pulled to the ground and then covered in moist soil and leaves. After sometime when the plant branch grows roots that is cut off from the plant and then planted in soil.
