A plastic bottle of 500 gm has a volume of 450 cm³. Density of water is 1 gm/cm³. Calculate
the mass of the water displaced by the bottle.

density of bottle = 500 gm / 450 cm³ = 10/9  gm/cc

SInce it is more than 1 gm/cc, the bottle sinks in water

mass of water displaced by bottle = volume of bottle * density of water
                                            = 450 * 1 = 450 gms
