it'd surely come up on the surface of water . The plastic is less dense than water , which means , the mass per unit volume of plastic is less than that of mass per unit volume of water . This difference in densities causes buoyancy (buoyant force) to act upon the plastic cube which in turn causes the plastic cube to float over the water. .
