Answer: If a plastic cube is released into water, it may sink, or it may float. Pure water has a specific gravity of 1. If the specific gravity of the plastic cube is less than 1, it will float, and if it is above 1, it will sink. It depends upon the specific gravity.

ANSWER:

A Plastic cube will come upward to the surface of the water.

EXPLANATION:

As the plastic is of lighter density than the water it won't sink. It also depends on the buoyancy force; the upward force acting upon the objects by the fluid, if the buoyancy force exerted on the object is more than the weight of the object it will float on the surface if the weight prevailed the object won't float.

In the case Plastic cube the buoyancy force is more so it will come to the surface of the water.
