Answer :
Given length of ground = 38 m
Width of Ground = 50 cm = 0.5 m
As the ground is a Rectangle so,
Area of Rectangle = Length × Width
Area = 38 × 0.5
=> 19 m^2
a) Given cost of levelling per m^2 = ₹40
Then, Cost of levelling 19 m^2 = ₹40 × 19
=> ₹ 760
b) To find the number of rounds along the boundary, the perimeter of ground is needed.
Therefore,
Perimeter of Ground = 2(L + W)
=> 2(38 + 0.5)
=> 2 × 38.5
=> 77 m
Number of rounds one should take to run 2 km
=> 2 km = 2000 m
=> 2000 m ÷ 77 m
=> 25.9 rounds
