a player kicks a football at an angle of 45degree with an initial speed 20 m/s . a second player on the goal line is 60 m away in the dirction of kick starts running to recieve a ball at that instant .Find the constant speed with he should run to catch th eball before it hits the ground.?

Answer: R=u^2sin2theta/g

=20^2×2sin45×cos45/10=40m

T=2usintheta/g=2×20×sin45/10=2√2sec

Therefore,as the player is standing at the distance of 60m and the ball drops at the distance of 40m so to receive the ball the player has to cover a distance of 20m

=60-40=20m

Therefore, speed=distance/time

=20/2√2=5√2m/s

Therefore the player speed should be 5√2m/s

Hope it's help...

Answer:

Explanation:

Distance to be covered by player to reach the ball before touching the ground is (60-range of projectile)

on calculating range we get total distance to be covered

to calculate velocity of player we also need time

so time can be calculated from time of flight

putting the value of distance and time in

v=s/t we get velocity of player
