A player throws a ball up with an angle 30 degrees with the horizontal with a velocity of 14 m/s.If the point of projection is at a height 12m from the ground, then calculate the distance upto which the ball is thrown by the player?(g = 10 m/s^2)

In this question, we have to find distance.

Range is given by the equation=u²sin2∅/g

Given:

u=14m/s

∅=30°

g=10m/s²

Substitute in the equation

R=14²×sin60/g

R=196×√3/2÷10

R=8.8×1.7

R=14.96 m

Time taken is given by the equation

√2H/g

Substituting the value

T=√2×12/10=√2.4=1.5 s

We know that distance travelled is given by the equation

S=ut

Substituting the value we get

S=14×1.5=21

Therefore total distance covered =21+14.96=35.96m

This is an approximate answer.
