Player B throws a single die and adds 4 to it to get a sum of 9. This is possible when the die falls out to be 5. Whereas Player A throws a pair of die where the sum of 9 is got from (4,5) , (5,4) , (6,3).

The probability of A is 1 / 12 and probability of B is 1 / 6.
