ANSWER

: =>let radius of circle be r unit

since two circle formed are equal because diameter is equal.

: =>length of diameter is equal to length of small side of rectangle

:=> 2r = 24.5

or r = 12.25

also, since outside the rectangular park two semi circle are present. think that diameter is same so two semi circle formed a complete single circle. which makes our calculation fast.

now,

area of playground

= area of rectangula surface + area of circular surface

= 24.5×36 + π(12.25)^2

=1353 square unit

hope it helps

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the rectangle =l×b=24.5×36=882m

radius of the semi circle=24.5÷2=12.25m

area of semi circle=(π/2)×12.25×12.25=235.598 sq.m

area of such two semi circle=235.598×2=471.196sq.m

therefore total area of the play ground=471.196+882=1353.196sq.m
