The length of playground = 40 m     (given)

The breadth of playground = 35 m     (given)

To be found :-

The cost of leveling the playground at Rs 4.50 per m sq.

The playground has length and breadth so, its a rectangular field

Area of rectangle = lb unit sq.

[ in which l is the length and b is the breadth of the rectangle ]

Area of the playground = 40 × 35

                                       = 1400 msq.

If the cost of leveling 1 m sq. = Rs 4.50

So the cost for leveling whole playground will be

= 4.50 × 1400

= Rs 6300

Hence,

The cost for leveling playground is Rs 6300
