here's ur answer...
given the length of the plot is 50m and breadth is 30m.
area of the plot = l×b
= 50×30
= 1500m²
if the 2.5m of path is constructed around the plot. then the length of the path will be = 50+2.5+2.5
=50+5
=55m
breadth of the path=30+2.5+2.5
=30+5
=35m
area of the plot along with the path = l×b
= 55×35
= 1925m²
hence area of the path = 1925-1500
= 425m²
