Answer:

The area of the plot is 1988 m².

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

From the figure :

Length of a rectangle, AB = 60 m

Breadth of a rectangle, BC = 28 m

Diameter Of A Semicircle = breadth of a rectangle

2r = BC

2r = 28

r = 28/2

r = 14 m

Radius of the Semicircle = 14 m

Area of semicircle ,A1 = ½ πr²

A1 = ½ × 22/7 × 14 × 14

A1 = 22 × 7 × 2

A1 = 44 × 7

A1 = 308 m²

Area of semicircle = 308 m²

Area of rectangle, ABCD , A2 = l × b

A2 = 60 × 28

A2 = 1680 m²

Area of rectangle = 1680 m²

Area of plot,A = Area of rectangle + Area of semicircle

A = 1680 + 308

A = 1988 m²

Hence, the area of the plot is 1988 m².
