dear friends,
since the rectanglular surface level is increased, we can calculate the volume of earth dug and added on the rectanglur plot.
volume of earth dug = 240 m × 180m × 0.25m= 10800m^3

the volume is also the volume of the drainlet.
= 2(240m × 10m × d m ) + 2(180m ×10m × dm )
= 10800 m^3
d = depth = 1.29m
