A plot of land is used for planting flowers. 2/3 of the land is used to plant roses. Of the remaining plot of land 2/3 is used for planting orchids. The rest of the land is used to plant sunflowers. What fraction of the land is used to plant sunflowers?

To answer this simply convert your fractions.

2/3 or 12/18 of the garden went to tomatoes.

1/9 or 2/18 of the garden went to brinjal.

12/18 + 2/18 = 14/18.

Atul has planted 14/18 of his garden, leaving 4/18 unplanted. If each small small plot will be 1/18 of the garden we can divide the remaining space by the small plot size. 4/18 ÷ 1/18 = 4/1,

4/1 = 4
