A poem on my school my pride
Answers
Answer:
"Can you please tell me where is my school ?
It was right here when I left it yesterday
and suddenly this morning it disappeared… without a say!
Another one will do, others may say to you
But No! Not for me, for I selected this school
This school was for me and t’was a great learning tool
I learned much more than your eyes could see
from adding the ants for mathematics to multiplying the bees
from rolling in the mud and and tasting the bitter neem leaves
1st floor to the ground had become a smooth ride
swishing down the stone slide
my fears were blown aside
from making the mud hut, the stone path in the junior park
to class room cooking on the school stove
to dances and performances in midst of the neem grove
when tired I could retire in the sleeping room for some sleep
and mind you, even in the treacherous heat I could feel some cool breeze
such was this school the place where I studied
You may think all is well
That kids like us can take it well
But I am yearning to go back, to where it did dwell
Can you please tell me where is my school ?
It was right here when I left it that day
and suddenly one morning, it was snatched… without a say!"
