Given :  The point ( a  b ) lies in quadrant II

To Find :  In which quadrant does the point (b ,a ) lie

Solution:

for a point (x , y)

Quadrant I  -  x is +ve and y is + ve

Quadrant II   -  x is -ve and y is + ve

Quadrant III  -  x is -ve and y is - ve

Quadrant IV  -  x is +ve and y is - ve

The point ( a  , b ) lies in quadrant II

=> a  is -ve  and  b is +ve

=>

( b , a)  (+ve , - ve)

=> (b , a) also  lies in  Quadrant IV
