distance between A and B is

 \sqrt{29 }

let suppose A coordinator are (x,y)

and given is y=x/2 and B(6,-3)

now from distance formula

 \sqrt{ {(x - 6)}^{2} +  {(y + 3)}^{2}  }  =  \sqrt{29}

put x=2y

5 {y}^{2}   - 18y + 16 = 0 \\ y = 2 \: or \: y =  \frac{8}{5}  \\ x = 4 \: or \: x =  \frac{16}{5}
